# Dosage End User License Agreement

This agreement is between you and Michael Alexander, trading as MEK.txt, of [address], Indonesia ("MEK.txt", "we" or "us"). It sets out how you may use the Dosage typeface. By buying, downloading, installing or using the Font Software, you agree to it. If you are accepting for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that organization.

The Font Software is licensed to you, not sold. MEK.txt keeps all rights not expressly given to you here.

## 1. Definitions

- **Font Software** means the Dosage font files in any format, in the styles included when you buy it (at version 1.0: Humanist, Tall, Mono and Mono Tall), together with any updates we give you.
- **License Tier** means the Solo, Studio, Company or custom license shown on your Order.
- **Order** means your purchase record, receipt or written quote from us or our authorized reseller.
- **Team Size** means the number of people who work for you and your Affiliates, including owners, employees and regular contractors. A person working alone has a Team Size of 1.
- **Website** means any website or web app that you own or operate.
- **Title** means one named game, app or software product, on all its platforms, and all its versions, updates, patches and add-on content. A sequel or a separately sold product is a new Title.
- **Affiliate** means a company that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with you.

## 2. Your license

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual license to use the Font Software as this agreement allows, within the limits of your License Tier. The license starts when we or our reseller receive full payment. It is a one-time purchase with no renewal fees, and it ends only under Section 12.

Every tier covers all styles of the Font Software and all the uses in Section 3, for everyone on your team. A Team Size above 25, or any use in Section 5 marked as needing a custom license, needs a custom license from us.

The license covers you only, not your Affiliates, unless your Order says otherwise.

## 3. What you may do

Within your limits, you may:

**(a) Desktop.** Install the Font Software on devices used by your team, and make backup copies.

**(b) Graphics, print and video.** Use the Font Software to make static or moving images, print, packaging, merchandise, advertising, broadcast, film, video and streams. These may be distributed in any quantity, for any length of time, and may be sold. This includes digital artwork, whether or not it is recorded on a blockchain, provided the Font Software itself is not included (see Section 5(h)).

**(c) Logos.** Use the Font Software in logos and wordmarks, and register them as trademarks. This gives you rights in your logo only, and no rights in the typeface.

**(d) Websites.** Self-host the WOFF2 files to display text on your Websites, using CSS `@font-face` or a similar method, with no limit on traffic. You must take reasonable steps to stop the files being downloaded and reused, such as not linking to them directly and not placing them in a public repository.

**(e) Games and apps.** Embed the Font Software in your Titles, and distribute those Titles in any quantity. You may convert the Font Software into a bitmap font, texture atlas or similar format needed by your game engine or software, for use in that Title only. The font must be embedded so that end users cannot readily extract it. Compiled, encrypted or packed formats meet this requirement.

**(f) Documents.** Embed subsets of the Font Software in PDFs and other documents, for viewing and printing only, so that recipients cannot edit the text with the font.

**(g) Client work.** Use the Font Software to make work for a client under (b), (c) or (f), and deliver the finished work. If a client wants to edit that work with the font, or use the font on its website or in its product, the client needs its own license. You may not hand over the font files, except to a service provider under (h).

**(h) Service providers.** Give a copy to a printer, developer or similar provider working only on your project. They must use it only for you and must delete it when the work ends. They don't count toward your Team Size, and you are responsible for what they do.

## 4. Upgrades

If your Team Size or number of Titles grows past your License Tier, you must upgrade within 30 days of finding out. You may upgrade at any time by paying the difference between your current License Tier and the new tier at current prices.

## 5. What you may not do

You may not:

**(a)** Share, sell, sublicense, lend, rent, lease or give the Font Software to anyone, or make it available for others to download, except as Section 3 allows.

**(b)** Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer or decompile the Font Software, except as Sections 3(e) and 5(c) allow or as the law allows regardless of this agreement.

**(c)** Make another font or typeface from the Font Software, or from its outlines or pixel designs. Modifying letters as artwork, such as in a logo, is allowed, as long as the result is not used as a font.

**(d)** Rename the Font Software, remove its copyright or license information, or claim it as your own.

**(e)** Use the Font Software, or anything made from it, to train, fine-tune or test any machine learning or generative AI model, or to generate fonts or lettering by automated means.

**(f)** Without a custom license, use the Font Software in a product or service that lets end users type or choose text set in the font. This includes font pickers, template and design tools, website builders, on-demand personalized merchandise, and text generators. An ordinary text input or chat box inside your Title or Website is allowed.

**(g)** Without a custom license, include the Font Software in an operating system, hardware device, or a software platform or library that is used by other developers to make products.

**(h)** Store, publish or sell the Font Software, or any encoded form of it, on a blockchain or other permanent public storage, or sell it as a token. This also applies to artwork that includes the font data itself. Artwork that shows only the resulting image is allowed.

## 6. Ownership

MEK.txt owns the Font Software and all copyright, design and other intellectual property rights in it. "Dosage" and "MEK.txt" are names belonging to MEK.txt. This agreement does not give you any right to use them, except to credit the font accurately.

## 7. Updates

We may provide updates, and may charge for a new major version. Your license continues to cover the version you bought. New styles added later are included only if we choose to include them in a free update. We are not obliged to provide support or updates.

## 8. Transfer

You may not transfer your license, except to a company that buys all or substantially all of your business, and only if you tell us in writing and that company accepts this agreement.

## 9. Refunds

Payments are handled by our authorized reseller, [Lemon Squeezy], which is the seller of record of your purchase. We will refund you if the Font Software is faulty and we cannot fix it, or within [14] days of purchase if you have not used it in published work. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law where you live.

## 10. Warranty

We confirm that we have the right to license the Font Software to you.

Apart from that, the Font Software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that it will work without errors or in every piece of software.

## 11. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MEK.txt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability under this agreement will not be more than the amount you paid for your license.

Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or removes rights a consumer has by law.

## 12. Ending this agreement

If you break this agreement and do not fix the breach within 30 days of our written notice, your license ends. You must then stop using the Font Software and delete all copies. Work you lawfully published under Section 3(b), (c) and (f) before the license ended may stay in use, unless the breach involved Section 5(a), (c), (e) or (h). Sections 5, 6, 10, 11 and 13 continue after this agreement ends.

## 13. General

**Governing law and disputes.** This agreement is governed by the laws of [the Republic of Indonesia]. Disputes will be handled by [the courts of Jakarta / arbitration]. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections of the law of the country you live in.

**Language.** This agreement is made in English and Bahasa Indonesia. [If the versions differ, the ___ version prevails.]

**Changes.** New terms apply only to licenses bought after those terms are published. Your license stays on the version of this agreement you accepted.

**Other terms.** This is the entire agreement about the Font Software, unless a signed custom license says otherwise. If a part of it cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term, we do not waive it.
